Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kombinasi ubi ungu (Ipomea batatas L), daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) dan minyak kelapa dalam ransum terhadap performa dan mortalitas ayam broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan 96 ekor ayam broiler dan menggunakanRancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah: 1) R0=jagung 50% + konsentrat 50%, 2) R1=jagung 33,33% + konsentrat 50% + 16,67 % kombinasi ubi ungu  dan daun kelor serta minyak kelapa untuk menggantikan jagung, 3) R2=jagung 16,67% + konsentrat 50% + 33,33% kombinasi ubi ungu dan daun kelor serta minyak kelapa untuk menggantikan jagung, 4) R3=konsentrat 50% + 50% kombinasi ubi ungu dan daun kelor serta minyak kelapa untuk menggantikan  jagung. Variabel yang diukur yaitu konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi ransum dan mortalitas.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata P>0.05) terhadap performa dan mortalitas ayam broiler. Kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan  kombinasi ubi ungu, dan daun kelor serta  minyak kelapa sampai 100% sebagai pengganti  jagung mampu mempertahankan performa ayam broiler.

 

The aims of the study were to find out the effect of a combination of purple sweet potatoes (Ipomoea batatas L.)  and moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera) with coconut oil in feed on performance and mortality of broiler chicken. The studyused 96 broiler chickens and completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments given were: 1) R0=50% corn + 50% layer concentrate, 2) R1=33.33% corn+ 50% layer concentrate + 16.67% combination of purple sweet potato and moringa leaves with coconutoil to replace corn, 3) R2=16.67% corn +50% layer concentrate + 33.33% combination of purple sweet potatoes and moringa leaves with coconut oil to replace corn, 3) R3=50% layer concentrate + 50% combination of purple sweet potatoes and moringa leaves with coconut oil to replace corn. The variables observed were feed intake, weight gain, feed convertion ratio, and mortality.Statistic analysis showed that treatments did not give any  difference(P>0.05) on performance and mortality of broilers. It can be concluded that the use of a combination of sweet potatoes, purple sweet potato leaves and coconut oil as a subtitute for corn as much as 100% in feed can maintain the performance of broiler chickens.
