Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of fermented leaf type supplementation on dry matter and organic matter digestibility of pigs in the starter-grow phase. There were 12 pigs used in this study with 1-2 months of age and an initial body weight of 5.35 - 14.5 kg, an average of 10.88 kg and CV = 31.67%. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments tested were R0: basal ration without supplementation, R1: basal ration + 5% fermented cassava leaf flour, R2: basal ration + 5% fermented sweet potato leaf meal, R3: basal ration + 5% flour fermented moringa leaves. The variables studied were consumption, dry matter digestibility and organic matter. The results showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on consumption, dry matter and organic matter digestibility. It was concluded that the supplementation of fermented cassava leaves, sweet potato leaves and moringa leaves at the level of 5% gave no different effect on consumption, dry matter digestibility and organic matter.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi jenis dedaunan terfermentasi terhadap kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik ternak babi fase starter-grower. Ternak babi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 12 ekor dengan umur 1-2 bulan dan memiliki berat badan awal 5,35 – 14,5 kg, rataan 10,88 kg dan KV = 31,67%. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan yakni R0 : ransum basal tanpa suplementasi, R1 : ransum basal + 5% tepung daun singkong terfermentasi, R2 : ransum basal + 5% tepung daun ubi jalar terfermentasi, R3 : ransum basal + 5% tepung daun kelor terfermentasi. Variabel yang diteliti adalah konsumsi, kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi, kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik. Disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi daun singkong, daun ubi jalar dan daun kelor terfermentasi pada level 5% memberi pengaruh yang tidak berbeda terhadap konsumsi, kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik.
