Effect of Supplementation of Leaves Fermented on Body Linear Size and Body Weight Prediction of Grower-Finisher Pigs

The aims of this study was to determine effect supplementation of leaves fermented on linear body size and body weight prediction of grower-finisher pigs. The material used in this study were 12 pigs aged 4 months with an initial body weight range of 30.5-51.5kg, an average of 41.21kg (CV 16.49%). The design used was a randomized block design consisting of 4 treatments with 3 replications. The treatments that were tried were R0: basal ration; R1: basal ration + 5% fermented cassava leaf flour; R2: basal ration + 5% fermented sweet potato leaf flour; R3: basal ration + 5% fermented Moringa leaf flour. The variables measured were body length, chest circumference, height and prediction of body weight for pigs. The results of the analysis of variance showed that supplementation of leaves fermented had no significant effect (P>0.05) on body length, chest circumference, height and prediction of body weight of pigs in the grower-finisher phase.It was concluded that the supplementation of 5% each of cassava leaves, sweet potato leaves, and Moringa leaves in fermented basal rations had a relatively similar effect on body linear size and prediction of body weight of pigs in the grower-finisher phase
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi jenis dedaunan terfermentasi terhadap ukuran linear tubuh dan prediksi bobot badan ternak babi fase grower-finisher. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 12 ekor ternak babi umur 4 bulan dengan kisaran bobot badan awal 30,5-51,5kg, rataan 41,21kg (KV 16,49%). Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak kelompok yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan yakni R0: ransum basal; R1: ransum basal + 5% tepung daun singkong terfermentasi; R2: ransum basal + 5% tepung daun ubi jalar terfermentasi; R3: ransum basal + 5% tepung daun kelor terfermentasi. Variabel yang diukur adalah panjang badan, lingkar dada, tinggi badan, dan prediksi bobot badan ternak babi. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan suplementasi jenis dedaunan terfermentasi berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap panjang badan, lingkar dada, tinggi badan, dan prediksi bobot badan ternak babi fase grower-finisher. Disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi masing-masing 5% daun singkong, daun ubi jalar, daun kelor dalam ransum basal terfermentasi memberikan pengaruh yang relatif sama terhadap ukuran linear tubuh dan prediksi bobot badan ternak babi fase grower-finisher.
