A study was conducted in the natural grassland of Naioni Village, Alak District, Kupang City, which aimed to determine the in vitro digestibility of dry matter and organic matter from the forage found in the grassland. The method used to determine the research sample was to use a square box measuring 1m × 1m which was thrown randomly 20 times in each cardinal direction. The samples obtained were then taken to the laboratory for in vitro analysis, which was followed by statistical calculations to determine the average digestibility of dry matter and organic matter in vitro. From the research results, it was found that the in vitro digestibility of dry matter and organic matter from forage in Naioni natural grassland was highest in the west with digestibility levels of 46.917% and 40.026% respectively, while the lowest digestibility was in the north at 44.647%. and 37.701%. In general, the digestibility of dry matter (45.534%) and organic matter (38.705%) is still relatively low. From the research results, it was concluded that the in vitro digestibility level of dry matter and organic matter from forage in Naioni natural grassland was still relatively low, with the highest dry matter and organic matter digestibility levels found in the west, while the dry matter and organic matter digestibility levels The lowest is in the north.
Telah dilakukan sebuah penelitian yang berlokasi di padang rumput alam Desa Naioni, Kecamatan Alak, Kota Kupang, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik secara in vitro dari hijauan yang terdapat pada padang rumput tersebut. Adapun cara yang dipakai untuk menentukan sampel penelitian adalah dengan menggunakan kotak persegi berukuran 1m × 1m yang dilemparkan secara acak sebanyak 20 kali di setiap arah mata angin. Sampel yang diperoleh tersebut kemudian dibawa ke laboratorium untuk di analisis secara in vitro, yang dilajutkan dengan perhitungan secara statistik untuk mengetahui rataan kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik secara in vitro. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa tingkat kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik secara in vitro dari hijauan pakan di padang rumput alam Naioni paling tinggi terdapat di arah barat dengan tinkat kecernaan berturut-turut sebesar 46,917% dan 40,026% sedangakan kecernaan terendah pada arah utara sebesar 44,647% dan 37,701%. Secara umum kecernaan bahan kering (45,534%) dan bahan organik (38,705%) masih tergolong rendah. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik secara in vitro dari hijauan pakan di padang rumput alam Naioni masih tergolong rendah, dengan tingkat kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik paling tinggi terdapat di arah barat, sedangkan tingkat kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik paling rendah terdapat di arah utara.
